Hello all,
We are working on a project to create a visual interface to generate XML
files for an MS product. We are considering the use of the Distributed
System Designer to allow us to visually create the relationships and have it
generate the XML.
How can we use the DSD to create a system model and then generate our XML
file? is it feasable?

Is there any way to install the IBM Distributed Debugger V9.2 on Windows XP
without first uninstalling DB2?
I installed the IBM Distributed Debugger V9.2 on my Windows XP box in the
hopes of debugging a Java stored procedure. Well, I never got the debugger
to work despite my best efforts - see posts earlier this week - so now I'd
like to uninstall the debugger.
I looked into this but the README says:
3.1 Uninstalling on Windows

Greetings,
By default Visual Studio 2005 starts each new project up with the code in
partial class form. Is there anyway I can change this behavior so that the
code is not split amongst different source files?
Im using the professional edition for c#.
Thanks,

Does MS have a webpage listing what each icon in the VS 2K5 IDE means?
Seems as though there was one of these for 2K3. I can't find anything
for 2K5.
Also, is there still a visual studio newsgroup?
Ultimately, I'm still trying to figure out why any new partial class
created from a file addition doesn't group under the main partial class
declaration in Solution Explorer. They group if you add a new winform
but after that, any new...

Hey everyone, another question for the list. In particular i'm looking
for comments on some of the distributed technologies supported in
python. Specifically, I'm looking at XML-RPC, RPyC, CORBA, and Twisted.
Before you offer any comments let me talk about what i'm doing a little
bit. Right now I'm creating an execution framework. The framework aims
to allow users to create a modular system by which engineers can
mitigate some of the...

Now that vista and the 3.0 framework are gold, I'm a bit confused, so any
clarification would be very helpful.
The 3.0 framework is gold and is downloadable etc. What is not 'gold' and
'supported' is the WCF/WPF addons to vs2k5. But here's where I get confused.
If I have vs2k5 source code. which contains 3.0 'code', on a pc which does
not have the WCF/WPF addons. It compiles, runs, has intellisense etc. etc.
etc.

Does anyone know of a GOOD report viewer control walk through in C#? By good I mean one that goes over using business object data binding with nested objects for the data source.
I've been looking at the nested object example at http://www.gotreportviewer.com but it isn't built in a visual studio project & solution, nor is it setup for designer support. So I can only view the data binding other things manually, which isn't an option for my...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
