VS2k5 ReportViewer control walk through

12 New Member
Does anyone know of a GOOD report viewer control walk through in C#? By good I mean one that goes over using business object data binding with nested objects for the data source.

I've been looking at the nested object example at http://www.gotreportviewer.com but it isn't built in a visual studio project & solution, nor is it setup for designer support. So I can only view the data binding other things manually, which isn't an option for my project. I've looked and their complex examples aka the ones that would take day(s) to look though are setup for VS designer support...

I don't have time to filter though the complex examples, and the manual method is too complex for my nested/dynamic objects.

I just don't have the time to figure out the complex examples as my project is falling behind :( . I need to find a good walk though or an example to look at and I think I can fix my problem...

Hello, I have a windows application over data form that has a reportviewer control on it. I have several reports defined, each works as expected when they are embedded into the report. On the form I have 3 buttons and two DateTimePicker controls. I want to use the bottons to load the unique reports into the reportviewer. I want to use the DateTimePicker controls as parameter inputs for one of the existing reports.

I am trying to use a ReportViewer control in a VS 2005 web application project (not Website project). When I try to create a new report (local), I can't seem to find any method to create a datasource. I would like to use an existing class object. The examples I have found state that the class should be in the App_Code folder. However a WAP does not have an App_Code folder. Is there any way to specify a datasource for a local report in a...

I have a VS 2008 ASP.NET webform that has a reportview tag on it, accessing an .RLDC report in local report. The columns for the report are essentially: Month Item #1 Item#2 Item#3 I would like to add a checkbox or dropdown control to the .RLDC and have Item #1, Item #2, or Item #3 display conditionally based on a checkbox being clicked or a dropdown value being selected.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
