autosize an image for a pictureBox's size

Al
I'm using visual C# 2005 Express Edition and I would like to open the
image in the picture box, without make the picture box larger. For the
moment, the code is:
private void button1_Click(o bject sender, EventArgs e)
{
openFileDialog1 .ShowDialog();
Image img = Image.FromStrea m(openFileDialo g1.OpenFile());
pictureBox1.Ima ge = img;
pictureBox1.Siz eMode = PictureBoxSizeM ode.AutoSize;
//but this only modifies the size of the pictureBox
}

Use a different PictureBoxSizeM ode. The one you want is probably
PictureBoxSizeM ode.Zooom.

Using VB .Net 2003 Standard Edition. This simple form has a "File in Use" problem while the executable is running. Created this simple program to make sure that I hadn't done something in my code in the "real" project. In the "real" project, One part of the program saves multiple images and another part of the program moves the images to the appropriate directories based on user feedback.

I'm afraid I will incur the wraith of Mr. Powell on this one - but I did read his #1 FAQ and some others and I still can't figure this out. I created this little c# app. and I have a PictureBox in my Form. I load this image from the filesystem into the PictureBox and then I draw random little lines on the image. Then when I minimize and reopen the application the little lines are gone. Is there a way to save my lines in memory and...

I have a picturebox on my VB.NET form. The picturebox size mode is set to stretched. I then load an image into that form and display it. As the user moves the mouse over the form, I want to get and display (in the status bar) the image coordinates of the mouse location. However, if I use the picturebox's MouseMove event, I am getting the coordinates of the mouse over the PICTUREBOX, not the actual image underneath that (which is stretched)....

Hello, I am putting together a simple picture viewing program to view jpg. bmp pictures. I have the picturebox sizemode set to autosize. I have the picturebox in a pannel set to autoscroll, so if I get a picture that is larger than the width/height of the containing form (pannel, etc) I can scroll. But some of the pictures are like 5 megapixels and are just way too large for the screen. When I open this pic in Microsoft Photo Editor...

I am trying to display several images on a standard Windows Form. Each image is displayed in a PictureBox control that is 180,130 in size. I get the Primary Screen size to determine how many images will on one line of images. I have a form boolean variable that I set to true in the ClientSizedChanged event handler. In the loop where I am displaying the images, I check this boolean, and if true, I set the Y coordinate loop counter to the...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
