MY crystal report is using Access database. At design time i set file path
for report. But i want that i can change this path at runtime so that my
report can connect to the same database on anypath .i.e. database file path
should not be fixed.

How can i do that? Please help.

Hi, Here is my situation. Can anyone provide insight? I have developed a database in Access 2002. I am planning to distribute it as a split MDE (front) / MDB (back) to be used by the Access runtime and also full-version. Some of the client workstations will have Access 2002 installed. Most of them will have the runtime installed. However, I can't find the Office 2002 Developer Edition anywhere! Nobody has

Hi, I have a secured database that runs fine on the computer the database is installed on. I have several workstations with access runtime installed that also need access to the database. Access runtime runs fine when accessing an unsecured version of the database. However once the database was secured it generates a runtime error after asking for the user and password and won't open. The shortcut to the secured database is: "path...

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been able to solve my problem. I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has many Access reports. I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a pdf file and save it to the user's machine. I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hi, I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer. The error is pretty...

Hi, Sorry to repost, but this is becoming aggravating, and causing me a lot of wasted time. I've got a reasonably large mixed C++ project, and after a number of builds (but not a constant number) linking (and sometimes compiling) becomes immensely slow, and task manager shows that link.exe (or cl.exe) is barely using any processor time, but an awful lot of RAM (around 150-200MB). I'm going to keep an eye on page faults since I can't...

I've got the standard SqlCacheDependency working just fine , ie. I've defined (and encrypted) the connectionStrings section in the web.config, and I've also defined an an sqlCacheDependency in the caching section. So, in my code I add an item to the cache with an sqlCacheDependency, referencing the named sqlCacheDependency in the web.config and the database table it is to be based on (have enabled notificiations for that table). Fine. ...

Hi folks. I'm trying to change the location of the Access mdb file I connect to using OleDb and am having trouble. I'm using Visual C# 2005 and the default values I use for the ConnectionString are those generated by the Server Explorer. I can connect just fine using the default values. But when I comment out strDefaultConnectionFile and uncomment the dbName variable I get: 'OleDbException: Could not use "; file already in use.' ...

Original Post: The following problem started on my PC about a week ago and I can't link it to any specific change. I'm using Access XP. If I have any database open and try to open any other database by double clicking its file in Explorer, it takes about 5 seconds to open. Previously the second database would open almost instantaneously, as one would expect on a reasonably fast machine.

How can I customize, at runtime, the path for the OLEDB connection uses. I used the Add Data Source Wizard and found the path set by the wizard is ReadOnly.

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
