document.images.src = eval("mt" +menu+ ".src")
}

Hi all,
Forgive me if I've expressed the subject line ill.
What I'm trying to do is to call a c++ function given the following:
a. A function name. This would be used to fetch a list of function
descriptors for the overloaded functions of that name. A function
descriptor would contain the address of the function to be called, and
a...

The code below worked in VS 2003 & dotnet framework 1.1 but now in VS 2005
the pmID is evaluated to "" instead of what the value is set to:

xmlItems.Document = pmXML
// Add the pmID parameter to the XSLT stylesheet
XsltArgumentList xsltArgList = new XsltArgumentList();
xsltArgList.AddParam("pmID", "", pmID);...

Just spent a happy 10 mins trying to understand a function I wrote sometime
ago.
Then remembered that arguments are passed by reference, by default.
Does the fact that this slowed me down indicate:
a) That I don't know enough
b) Passing arguments by ref is bad

We are building a threaded application which reacts to an event and starts
the required processing on a new thread.
However, we are finding it difficult finding a way of getting the function
to run using its own data. I've looked at SetData and GetData but these seem
only to be available once the thread is running.
The ThreadStart...

Hi,
Having a slight problem with how to pass parameters to functions between
threads.
I have a form with a progress bar and a description label on it. It has a
public function
IncrementProgressBar() that just calls performstep on the progress bar.

I am using VS2005 for a windows forms application. I need to be able to

Hi all,
I'm working on a C# project, and at some point I'm needing to pass the
same stack to multiple functions.
I found out the hard way that when I poss a stack by value it doesn't
actually use a copy constructor to move the contents over to a new
stack - the original stack is still modified by changes to the stack
that was passed by...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
