Hi all,
I am prett new in asp.net.
We have a project which has classic asp and asp.net scripts. Obviously
this project has a bin directory under the root directory. About 80% of
this project has been written in classic asp and 20% has been written in
ASP.NET. The login page is written in classic asp so when it creates
classic asp session I also create asp.net session so that when a user
access asp.net page, the session for asp.net will be there preventing
session timeout. Now the problem is if a user browses only in classic
asp pages for longer than the session timeout time I set for asp.net and
then tries to access asp.net page the timeout occurs.
Solutions could be
1. In every classic asp page, we call a page to refresh asp.net session
2. Set asp.net session timeout time to indefinite or ridiculously long
time (1 day or something)
Either of those doesn't sound very elegant, does it?
Is there any way of handling this situation nicely??
Thanks a lot in advance..
