How can I access data from another page in the same project?

DL
I have a project that has 2 pages, 'WebForm1.aspx' and
'DisplaySetting s.aspx'. I have a button on 'WebForm1.aspx' that opens
'DisplaySetting s.aspx' in another window. However, I need to be able
to access the options in a server select control on 'WebForm1.aspx'
from 'DisplaySetting s.aspx'. Is there an easy way that I can do this?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Hi,

Is this in the client? if so you can access window.opener and access it,
like this:

window.opener.d ocument.all[ "YourControlNam e"].options[ ]

Cheers,

I want to put out a Excel or Access database spreadsheet on a web page. Can I do this and will it let me update the spreadsheet or will it be a static web page? If not then should I put it out there as a file on the web page and open it up and then update the spreadsheet? Please advise.

Do I get more scalability if I split my database? The way I calculate things now, I'll be lucky to get 100,000 records in my Access 2003 mdb. Here some math: Max mdb/mde size = 2000 x 1024 = 2,048,000k Let's say on average each record in the database consumes 15k 2,048,000/15 = 136,533 records

Hi all, I am getting an intermittant error after uploading a project from my development machine. I click on a link which opens an aspx page that, upon page load, reads a very small amount of data from an MS Access database, using ODBC and a stored query. There is no problem on my development machine. On the production server though, I get the intermittant error shown below. If I click back and forth between the problem page and the...

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

Hello everyone, This is my first attempt at getting help in this manner. Please forgive me if this is an inappropriate request. I suddenly find myself in urgent need of instruction on how to communicate with a MySQL database table on a web server, from inside of my company's Access-VBA application. I know VBA pretty well but have never before needed to do this HTTP/XML/MySQL type functions.

It came to my attention in another thread that Access is no longer the rather crippled excuse for a relational database that it seemed to be in version 1. It appears that it may have moved on a little and one of the things it can do is act as a front end(user interface) to another database and this is what I would like to ask about. Now I have an MS SQL chuntering away in the background with a web-service and a bespoke program reading and...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
