Hi,
I have a wxPython application that call makes a thread (with threading
module). In some moment i've to stop the thread but i need to finish a
funtion in the thread before it can stop. How can i achive this?

I want to be able to prevent a particular tab from being selected at
run-time, how would I go about doing that?
At the moment, I have created a custom control and inherited the TabControl.
I then override the WndProc method and trap the WM_NCHITTEST message (I
don't know if this is the correct message to watch out for).
I need to check to see if the tab that they are clicking on is Enabled or

I've made tooltips work in Firefox*, but tooltip doesn't appear at the
specified location until the SECOND time that the user passes the mouse over
the location with the mouseover event. What I want is for the user to be
able to put the mouse over text that gives a year (e.g., "(1932)", "(1946)"
and "(1923)") and see the tooltip to the right and slightly beneath the
year.

I check whether session is alive in Page_Load.
If session is not alive then I want to navigate to another page, most
probably the login page.
But when a control, a button for example, is clicked, after Page_Load the
button's click event is also fired.
Since session is abandoned at this moment, any object references raise

Hi, I'd like to stop command line build by one project build failed.
To do that I've created simple AddIn (see code below), that works fine
for IDE and does not work for command line.
In the AddIn I have only two non-trivial methods:
In OnConnection I add my event handler to OnBuildProjConfigDone, and in
the event handler I executed Build.Cancel.
In IDE - no problem.
When I execute
I see that AddIn works and Build.Cancel is called but...

Currently I am using XmlReader (but I am open to other options) to parse an
XML file, and I would like to be able to stop/break the current parse
(simple enough) and then resume it later (say after a reboot). Is there any
way to get the current location in the file that the XmlReader has reached
so as to be able to restore that and start from that point later?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
