I have the following code in the open event of a form. Most of it sets
or checks the value of certain variables so that the form opens
properly. It also sets the recordsource for the form. It all works
correctly. However, It runs very slowly and it takes a couple of seconds
for the form to open. Is there anything I can do to speed...

Hi All
I've got 2 files, transactions and comments, linked by a clientID as a FK in
the clients file and as a FK in the comments file (PK in the 'client' file

with the transactions, but usually they do (explanations about when payment
will be sent, who in the office...

I have a VB6 program that runs as an app, that I want to both convert it
to vb.net, and run it as a service on the server.
I have been able to create the service, and what I did was to open the
vb6 document and convert it into a vb.net program. Once I did that, the
routine "check_for_file" I yanked out & put into my service program.
The...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents.
