Hi,
(also posted in netscape.public.mozilla.browser)
i use netscape 7 and want to hide the scrollbars of the window when
something happens. I tried this:
window.scrollbars.visible=false
window.scrollbars.visibility="no"
....
nothing works
Is it also possible only to hide the vertical scrollbar instead of both?

Okay, you are all so smart in here. Answer me this:
IE6 in standards mode doesn't seem to hide scrollbars on the body element
(overflow:hide) Ain't this a quandary. I have it in my head that I need to
specify html instead. The scrollbars do hide on Gecko browsers though, so
there is definitely a disagreement among browser developers on how to
implement scrollbars (as a side note, Gecko browsers with their notoriously
bug-ridden...

Hi,
I've drawn my own control using GDI+. But the control is bigger than a
normal form could display, so I want to add scrollbars. Saw somewhere that
you have to inherit from "System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl". So I did
that, and the scrollbars are displayed very nice. But when you actually
start scrolling the graphics I've drawn with GDI+ are completely disturbed.
Someone know what I'm doing wrong? Is there another way to add...

Hi
I made a form with picturebox and scrollbars. However,
scrollbars react to arrow keys. What I would like is that
scrollbars react only to mouse. Is there a way to ignore keyboard for
scrollbars or to know if mouse has been used on scrollbar?

I am implementing an Office 2007 – like interface, including the ability to
change colors. One issue that I have is that scrollbars look poor if the
application color theme (e.g., Black) does not match the windows color theme
(e.g., Blue). So, I want to custom draw every scrollbar within my
application. The problem is that scrollbars can show up in many types of
controls that I use within my app, such as in Forms, TextBoxes, ComboBox...

I want to create a custom scrollbar using particular images, which
will then be placed on a canvas to control another window on the
canvas. Right now I am inheriting from scrollbar, but I do the
movement with custom functions. When I create it and put in into the
canvas with "canvas.create_window" a standard scrollbar shows in the
correct spot and my custom one is outside of the canvas.
All I have right now is something that moves...

It is common to see custom vertical scrollbars that present a
much-improved graphic appearance over the traditional browser version.
Is there a source for scripts that generate custom scrollbars?

Hello,
I have a custom panel in my project (this one: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/graphics/fastimagedrawing.aspx) with a custom paint event ( protected override void OnPaint(PaintEventArgs pe) ). You set an image to the Image property of the custom panel, and it scrolls very smoothly through that image according to the value of the scrollbars, in an optimised way in the above OnPaint function.
Through the designer, i dropped this custom...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
