I was looking at the StdPictureClass to see if it could be useful but I
can't seem to find any documentation on it.
The image is drawn dynamically therefore I cannot use OleLoadPictureF ile
API.
Thanks,

Joe,
Add a reference to Microsoft.Visua lBasic.Compatab ility.dll (it's in the
framework directory, shipped standard). Once you have that, use the static
ImageToIPicture or ImageToIPicture Disp methods on the Support class in the
Microsoft.Visua lBasic.Compatab ility.VB6 namespace.
Hope this helps.

Greetings All
I am currently attempting to pass an STDPicture object to the Picture
property of a class module within a DLL. However, none of the usual methods
seem to apply. The Microsoft Knowledge base has very little on the
STDPicture object.
Does anyone know if there is a build-in limitation that prevents you from
passing this type of object? If so, is there a work around method I've
missed? If anyone could point me toward some...

I use IFontDisp and some other stuff from stdole in VB.NET, but sometimes
Visual Studio simply refuses to compile, complaining about various stdole
errors (for example, it wants me to add a reference to stdole even though I
already have a reference to stdole).
At this point, restarting Visual Studio can sometimes help, but sometimes
not even that helps and than you have to restart the computer. Removing and
reinserting the reference to...

Hi
I'm trying to send email via a c# app, and I've come across various
ways to do it, but the way that seems best given my constraints is this
little vbscript:
Dim theApp, theNameSpace, theMailItem
set theApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set theMailItem = theApp.CreateItem(0)

We're authoring a VS 2005 app that includes several EXE's and DLL's and also
uses a COM component (a customer requirement). The COM component provides a
graphic image to be used by the .NET app; the graphic is supplied as a
"StdPicture" (AKA, IPictureDisp).
How can I convert this to a .NET Image? A search of the object browser
shows:
protected static System.Drawing.Image GetPictureFromIPictureDisp(object
picture)

Hi, I know I seem to have the really complicated questions, but I guess
that's why I'm here. This is a little verbose, only because I've been
trying to crack this for a week now.
Your help would be appreciated.
I've been trying numerous ways to resize images, as I want to make store
thumbnails, not full images in my database.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
