I am making a program for a friend with a disability.
I need to adjust his audio volume using the keyboard as he cannot use
a mouse.
Any suggestions as to how I can raise the volume using the up arrow on
the keyboard and decrease the volume using the down arrow?
I am using VB 5.

I have looked at some mouseover/ sound object scripts and can't get
them to work. Most were more complex than needed and introduced several
new parameters for me.
I found a simple pair of html code segments that accomplish display of
an image and automatic 'display' (playback) of a .wav file, and
apparently are usable for both IE and NS,

I am trying to build a service that will mute/unmute the SPDIF output
whenever Windows Media Center 2005 is launched or exited.
Is there a low level api that will allow me to get/set the SPDIF status?

Using VS 2003, VB. Net, MSDE...
Usining task sheduler, I wish to mute the volume in the .bat file that task
scheduler runs (windows XP Pro). I don't see anyway to do this via a .bat
line command (if there is, please let me know).
So the next option would be to write a small .net program that would do it
and run that via task scheduler. How would you mute the volume in code in
the vb.net program? I'm not quire sure where to get...

Ok I am not a programmer, I copied some code and very painfully got it
working in VB6. I can adjust the volume with waveOutSetVolume on winmm.dll.
But I could not seem to be able to figure out how to adjust the master
volume. I thought maybe if I upgraded this into VS2005 VB.Net then it might
be a little easier. But now I am getting PInvokeStackImbalance messages on
this, and it doesn't even run. We're talking a very little program... A...

I created a video using a pre-made fla skin that I edited so that it only shows the play/pause, stop, seek, mute, and volume features. It all works fine, however I was asked to have it set that the video will be automatically muted.
