Looking for a tutor / mentor

I have been studying c-sharp for a while, but I have a project that will
involve much learning along the way. I am looking for a person that would
be willing to consult with me that has experience in C#, VB.NET, web
services and working with Office Applications in particular.

I want to build an application in which I can pull data from and SQL Server
Database and use it to populate either an Excel workbook or a Word document.
I can probably do this on my own given enough time, but where my menotr /
tutor would come in handy is to act as a consultant, guiding me in various
ways.

I probably wouldn't take more than an hour at a time if that. And I would
probably not be a heavy burden. I try to do as much as I can and ask for
help only when I am stuck.

I would expect to work with you by phone and by email mostly. I have
sucessfully used this model before with a fellow that helped me with Crystal
Reports. Now I am hoping to find someone using these technologies.

If you are interested please contact me at 973-971-9970 Ext 153 or email me
at hs****@onprojec t.com. We can discuss terms and other arrangements then.

Thanks in advance.

Hello. I've just started learning Python a few weeks ago. I'm using the free "How to Think Like a Computer Scientist: Learning with Python". I'm half-way through chapter 5 and I've been stumbling on a few things. I've been teaching myself so far. I was wondering if anyone out there would be able to help me along with this. Maybe help explain some things and give me ideas for practice programs that go along with what I'm learning. And if you...

Hello Was wandering if there is any place where some one could go to get mentoring on python coding. I have started coding in python but I am the only one in the shop using it. So there is no one around to look over my code give suggestions on improvement, in style, logic, easier ways of doing things etc. I am not really looking for hand holding as much mentoring. I have purchased about every python book out and have a list a mile...

Task assigned is to assist in developing markup templates and rules for conversion of a group of technical manuals in MSWord from MIL-DTL-81928 to MIL-STD-3001. Am familiar with the basic concepts of XML and the 3001 DTDs, though the nuances are some time away yet. The central goal is to convert as close to the requirements of MIL-STD-3001 for the type of manual and it's context as possible with out changing technical content or...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
