Obfuscation / code protection in .NET 2.0

Hi
Does anyone know if there are to be any improvements in Obfuscation / code
protection in .NET 2.0??

Will there be a better 'bundled' obfuscator??

I don't want to buy an obfuscator now, only to find I didn't need it, when
2.0 is released... for whatever reason.

Thanks
Paul

I'm writing an application that will log any errors to a database. If the error occured as a result of an exception being thrown, I store the stack trace as well as other information about the application and environment. My problem comes in when I finally finish the application and decide to protect the intellectual property by means of an obfuscation tool of some sort. Once the code has been obfuscated, none of the method names are...

HI All, I am now seeking tools on javascript obfuscation. I have searched for several like stunnix, . But the interface is not really neat and sounds complicated. Is there any open source project doing this ? I need to encrypt several js and jsp files using javascript. If not an open source, which other obfuscator you will recommend ? Thanks.

Are there any commercial, or otherwise obfuscators for python source code or byte code and what are their relative advantages or disadvantages. I wonder because there are some byte code protection available for java and .NET, although from what i've read these seem to be not comprehensive as protection schemes

I made the suggestion "Need built in obfuscation support in C# compiler" to Microsoft. Anyone here agree with me? If yes, please cast your vote on this suggestion to raise its priority.

I have written an ASCX control with 99% of the logic in a spearate class in it's own dll assembly. I want to ship the ascx control and the dll to other users but I need to protect my code in the dll as I don't want anyone to see the code. I built a deployment project, built a reference to the dll and all of my code is exposed. Along with the dll came a .pdb and a .xml. My first question is: is there any way to hide my code short of...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
