MSN has a toolbar that has a Form Fill function that will try to fill form
fields on forms when they come up.
The problem is that it causes problems with some forms and functions.
I found this out this weekend. If you have your address set up in your Form
Fill function, any form that has these fields (name, address, city, phone
etc) will automatically be filled in.
MSN has a toolbar you can download for IE, that is something I am...

I have tried to set a date field when I put a checkmark in a yes/no field. In the date fields control source I put the following: IIf(=0," ",Date())
Unfortunately using Date() simply changes the date each time the day changes. I want to store a date telling my when I put the checkmark in the yes/no field and I don't want that date to change. Using Date() changes it each day. How do I set the date field to todays date when I click on the yes/no...

I have tickbox on a form, and I would like to use a date field as the
control source.
i.e. I would like to have it display as ticked when a date exists in
the field, and vice versa.
Also, when it is either checked or unchecked, I would like it to stamp
todays date or remove the date from the control source. I can see how
to do this if there are seperate fields for the checkbox and date, but
I would like to combine them into one field...

I have a date/time field with a sql format of "datetime" The actual
date/time data format is MM/DD/YYYY^hh:mm:ss:pm or "1/25/2007
12:00:16 AM" Both the date and time are combined on the same field
with a space seperating the two.
I need to run a query on this date/time field using the criteria of
today's date so if I want to search all records with todays date, I
need to query on this field. I don't need the time, but just today's
date...

I have a problem I just can't get any sort of query findfirst or the sql below to correctly compare a value in a table with a supplied value.
I created a very simple situation to try and figure part of it out. I have one table with three fields ID, myname and Birthday. There are three records in there one has a birthday of 01/04/2008 (todays date - this is NOT an April Fool!) The Birthday field is formated as a date and just takes the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
