Been banging my head on this for two days now. Hope someone can help!
My test program below is in the form of a single JSP, with a Node class
build in. (All the coded needed to run is below.)
The technical requirements:
1) Store tree data in the database so that it can be
extracted as a tree structure. For test purposes,

I am confused on childNodes or children. When you have nested lists,
I would think it would all be one list in the Dom, this doesn't seem
to be the case. So how do you traverse an unordered list? Any help
appreciated. John
In the below script, I can expand and contract the nodes when clicked
on, but I want the menu to close all other siblings to the node
clicked so that only one sub menu option is expanded at one time. If
the node...

Alright I needed some help regarding a removal of a binary search
tree. Yes its for a class, and yes I have tried working on it on my
own, so no patronizing please. I have most of the code working, even
the removal, I just don't know how to keep track of the parent, so
that I can set its child to the child of the node to be removed.
IE - if I had

Say you have three tables apples, oranges and bananas and each table has a
different amount of fields that are obviously particular to that type of
fruit. Now I want to load them into a form based tree control with each
table having it's own separate node.
In the tree load function what I did was create three sql data readers and
manually iterate through adding the nodes and related info. While this works
I was wondering if there was a...

It's quite simple to walk to the DOM tree going forward however I can't
figure out a nice clean way to walk the DOM tree in reverse. Checking
previousSibling is not sufficient as the previousSibling could be a
node which has childNodes and therefore the 'true' previousSibling
would be the *deepest* lastChild of the previousSibling...
For example, given this graph:

I have been trying to learn how to do a c++ tic tac toe game, with first implementing the game tree in a function and then having the AI in another function which uses minimax algorithm. I came across the following code in my search for sources that would help me get a better understanding:
/** evaluate board state from player's point of view */
int evaluate(Node node, int player) { /* using NEGMAX version of MINIMAX */
int value...

Hello
I have written a program for a binary tree. On compiling one has to
first chose option 1 and then delete or search. Im having some trouble
with the balancing function. It seems to be going into an infinite
loop, i think im messing up with the pointers.
Heres the code.
//press 1, first, Do not press it a second time!!!

Is there a community accepted best way to store a menu tree for an
interface in a data structure. Ideally I would like something that

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
