Crazy C# to VB events

Howdy,

I'm writing a web application in VB.Net. I'm using C# for all of the
dynamic content on the vb pages. I'm currently building a VB page that
displays a table of pictures. The page calls a C# object that populates a
table with images and a couple of linkButtons for deleting and editing the
images. So the table is embedded into the page and looks like this (this
part works fine):

[Image] Edit Delete
[Image] Edit Delete
....
(Where [Image] is a picture. "Edit" and "Delete" are linkButtons. The C#
object simply creates this table on the VB page and is then destroyed.)

What I need is for the "Edit" and "Delete" buttons to trigger an event on
the VB page. If I place the events in the C# object then they will not fire
as the object will be destroyed as soon as the page is generated. I can't
place the events on the VB page because the linkButtons get created inside
of the C# object.

I'm somewhat new to events. I know how to use them in VB and I know how to
use them in C#. What I don't know is how to have the C# object call events
that are on the vb page. Do I have to pass around the delegate? I don't
know what I'm doing!

Any help would be appreciated.
Chris.

I think it's really nice to be able to do code like someVariable = someMethod(new SomeClass("some text")); However, as method signatures are number and types of parameters, you're limited to having one constructor that accepts a single string, for example. Call me crazy, but wouldn't it be useful to be able to have a syntax where you could set properties in a statement like the one above, without being limited to just what you could...

I want to put a live connection in a web page to periodically updated data. When the data changes, the server notifys the client and gives the new data. The client does not regularly refresh the page. The client responds to server-side events only. The screen display changes without any user interaction. An application like this might be a chat, stock ticker, or data inventory. Sofar as I can tell nothing in the .NET framework can...

I have a user control with a Panel and five Labels. The end result is a circular volume control (no actual circle is shown). The Size is 90,97 I fire up VB2005, Select Windows Application, add a couple of buttons and my user control. The buttons are just to run the code that sets the volume to a preset value. The control displayed is the correct size (90,97). Everything works as expected. I can even grab the volume pointer and drag to...

I have spent two hours trying to make sense of this script, called crazy.php. The output should be nothing because $cookie_password is nowhere defined in this script, correct? But it actually outputs the value that other scripts i have running set it to. Why should crazy.php care what other scripts are running that use that variable name?? <?php crazy();

This idea might be vey crazy. But I hope to get answers to this .. from comp.lang.c If a compiler is designed such that it automatically adds a free() matching every malloc() then is it not a garbage collection (in the first place , garbage will not be generated !! ) . Is it possible to have a compiler with such feature. Or if Its not a good idea (or may be this is an idiotic idea) please tell me why is it so ??

Hi all. Any advice appreciated - I'm floating an image right and the text to the left of the image is being forced down about 5px from the top of the containing area. You can see the issue here: http://www.cbcgroup.com.au/drupal. No issues in ie7 or Firefox - can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
