how to get the email of the domain user???

Hi all,
There is a problem, I want to get the email of a domain user by its name.
How can I do that? Could you show me any sample code?
Thank you very much.

Jet,

There is no standard association between a domain user and the email
address of that user in windows (as far as I know). Depending on the email
system, there could be a number of ways to get it. For example, are the
users using exchange, is it stored in Active Directory?

Basically, do all the machines access email the same way? If so, how?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to use Php to automate confirmation of someone joining an email list by them replying to an email (so they don't have to have a browser?). I will probably use a hyperlink with a unique ID, but I also want to know how to go about reading from a mailbox with Php so I can use an email reply method, too. I'm having trouble finding any kind of tutorial. From the bit of searching I've done,...

I'm doing a rough validation of an email address client-side (using js), but it's not enough - our customer service people are apparently incapable of typing in an email address without error - we get spaces, missing '@', multiple '@' which we can field, and simple mis-spellings, which we can't. I'd like to automate a 'mailto:' popup for them on submit, along the lines of "thanks for your email address, just verifying I've got it right"....

I put this together from some other scripts I am using on a site. I'm trying to make a better email hiding script. It isn't working. Also, it causes Internet Explorer 6 SP2 to block the script as "active content". :( The idea is that if the user doesn't have JavaScript enabled, they will see an image of the email address (that can't be read by email harvesting programs). If JavaScript is enabled, the image will be hidden and the...

I wrote a method that should check if an email address is valid. In another method I've already checked to see if $_POST exists and is well-formed, so those checks are not necessary in this scope. However, "Step 4" bothers me, and I wonder if others are as bothered as I am. /** * Validate submitted email

I am trying to finalize a regular expression in javascript to only allow emails with a certain domain to be valid. Here is what I have so far: var emailFilter2=/\@aol.com/; if(!(emailFilter2.test(strng))) { error = "Please enter a valid email address with the AOL domain.\n \n"; }

Using the mail() function, I can easily change the From address that appears in an email. But how do I change the From that gets sent in the SMTP conversation, which results in the address that appears in the envelope's Return-path: header? That value currently is the account_name@machine_name, but I don't want to give away my Linux account name with every single email.

I'm researching and I see various approaches, with or without regex. So I'm asking for opinions on which is the best - that is, the most thorough. Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
