Hello,
Can anyone suggest me a good intermediate level C# book that teaches
OOP concepts too. I saw Beginning C# Objects: From Concepts to Code by
Jacquie Barker, it seems good but I want a second openion.
Your helpful suggestions will be welcome.
Thanks

hi there,
i would like a book that will explain concepts of javascript and dhtml
instead of, for example, ten tutorials on how to do specific things in
js or dhtml.
ideally a book thats can explain from the basics of javascript, to
more complex things such as dhtml and dom onto things like creating
javascript objects (if that is possible, but u get the idea). rather
than this is how you make a drop down menu tutorial; this is how you

Greetings. I've been programming for quite a while now, avoiding C/C++ at
all costs. For reasons I won't go into, I've decided to learn it (them?).
I have a strong handle on most programming concepts. I am relatively fluent
in the following languages: C#, CIL, VB.NET, VB6.
I have done several online beginner tutorials for C++ and found them to be
rather easy to understand. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find many
tutorials...

I was browsing both the Amazon and Barnes & Noble websites
looking for some good books but there appears to be *so* many
and it's hard to tell which are going to be good or not.
I'm looking for one or two *good* books on the subjects of
ASP.NET and ADO.NET together. E.g., using ASP.NET on the
front end to communicate with a back end database via ADO.NET.
I'm hoping to find a mid-level type of book. I've been using PHP
and MySQL for...

Hello,
I was VERY blessed with a Christmas gift of visual studio .net from a
man I hardly know who had heard of my plans of software developement.
So I am probably the only person in the world who actualy has this
great IDE and don't even know vb.net (or c sharp etc.).
I have some prior exposure to simple scripting language such as
javascript and I understand data types etc. (basic programming
concepts and procedures) but I don't have any...

I am a newbie and going through "The C programming language" by
Kernighan & Richie on my own time (I'm not a programmer but I want to
learn because it can save me time in my normal job, and it is kind of
fun). As I go through the book, I seek to do all the exercises because
they are very useful, and good, but it seems like I am just stumbling
through somewhat. In particular, I don't really know how to think about
"catching errors", or how...

i wish to start programming with OOP, but i have no experience: can
anyone tell me what book should i buy to learn it?
I have a good knowledge of programming, but absolutely zero of OOP.
Also, working hard, how long do you think it may need to have a good
understanding of it, so i can start programming in that direction?
Thanks a lot.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
