Listing Files and Folders

Hi,

I would like to list all the folders and files on my harddrive in
two seperate parts of the window (one part for folders, other part for
files). Also, when clicking one of the folders shown, it should open
its subfolders and list again its folders and files in the other part
of the window. I was trying to use ListView and TreeView components,
but I don't have the slightest clue how to use them and if I should
use one of those.
Can someone recommend me some link, on how to do something I
described above.
Thanks in Advance

Good evening, How would I go about this? I have a smartclient windows app that I want to display the subfolders and files that are inside a folder on my hosts webserver. Would I have to have a webservice on my site that would read the sub-folders and files and then send this back to the smartclient as a dataset ? i am just not sure which way to go to do this.

I'm developing an ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) application in which I need to display the available shared folders on the server. The shared folder paths need to be in UNC format (i.e., \\servername\share) and need to be clickable links. Upon clicking the link a textbox needs to be populated with the full UNC path. I don't need to read, write, edit, delete, etc. files or folders, I simply need to list all the shared folders and get its full UNC...

Hi All, Currently I have a storage server to allow users to store their files in a central location. In this server, there are many sub-folders for different departments. What I would like to do is to have a script to generate a listing that will show in each folder who are the users accessible to the folder and what are the permission granted to them.

I'm trying to write a program in VB.net 2003 that basically deletes all files, folders, sub-folders and sub-sub folders (etc). The program is simply for deleting the Windows/Temp folder contents, removing all the files/folders inside it. The problem i am having is that i can only delete files in the Windows/Temp folder, and i can't delete folders if they contain files, i know that you can't do this.

Using .NET 2.0 is it more efficient to copy files to a single folder versus spreading them across multiple folders. For instance if we have 100,000 files to be copied, Do we copy all of them to a single folder called 'All Files' Do we spread them out and copy them to multiple folders like Folder 000 - Copy files from 0 to 1000 Folder 001 - Copy files from 1000 to 2000 Folder 002 - Copy files from 2000 to 2999

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
