I'd like to make a directory listing where instead of the entire
filename I need it to show the filename minus the extention and get the
value of charname= in the file itself.
I've been told that I had to turn the directory listing into an array
and then use "foreach (array as item)" to go through and open each file
but I've tried several different approaches and I just can't get it to work.
I've been able to make it list the directory...

Hi There,
I have a PHP script that sends an email with attachment and works great when
provided the path to the file to send.
However this file needs to be on the same server as the script.
I want to develop a webpage where people can send attachments that are
stored on their local PC.

folders of a directory, i found some code to do this.
The only problem is that it lists the asp file used to for example if i go to:
"http://myserver/listing.asp" In the file listing will be "listing.asp"
amongst a lot of marketing documents.

Hello,
This might be a tad off topic. The c-programming groups
I found appear to be unused...
The problem is simple...
I need to create a listing file from an assembler source file.
The listing file is just a copy of the source file with line numbers
along with a list of syntax errors (e.g. multiply or undefined symbols).

Hello,
I am just trying out reading an XML file in an ASP.NET page, but am
having a little trouble. I'm sure this is something really obvious and
dumb, but I can't see what ...
I have an XML file that contains some site map info (see further down),
and I have written a page to read this in and display the contents. I
put it into a datagrid and also use a repeater (the former was a quick
way of seeing what happened, the latter was in...

The basic purpose of the site is for authenticated users to post event
listings, which often include photographs. The user is faced with a page
where they can insert all of the information about the event in a typical
form with textboxes, drop down lists, etc. On this page there are also 4
file upload controls where the user can select 0 to 4 images on their file
system for inclusion in the event listing. On submit, the images (if any)...

Hello everyone,
I have a repeatedly running process, which always creates a new logfile with
an ending n+1. What I need is to find the last file, the one with highest
number at the end. The problem is, that the max() method gives me a wrong
answer. I tried to convert the items in my list into integers using int(),
but that ends up with an error ValueError: invalid literal for int():
My code currently looks like this:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
