Converting virtual key to UNICODE character codes

I need to convert a sequence of keys presses on the keyboard into the
corresponding character code (UNICODE).
I'm intercepting the KeyUp event (using an external hooking library)
and need to get the corrisponding code, according to the user
keyboard. For example, if the user pressed SHIFT+a I need to get the
65 code

I'd also need to the the opposite thing, that is converting the
character UNICODE code to a sequence of key presses.

Thanks.

Hi! We hope somebody can help me with the following: We have a form through which unicode data might be submitted. We need to be able to detect when this happens and, most importantly, we need to be able to obtain the unicode character codes for each individual letter/symbol. Is this possible in PHP? If so, can you please provide a short code snippet. We looked at the mbstring extension but found nothing helpful, especially

Folks, I have two related questions: 1. I have seen unicode being mentioned in my javascript pocket book - is this the same as ascii codes? I think not though I'm not sure and I can't find any examples... 2. How do I read/set a string to an unprintable code? For example, how can I set the variable a to equal the equivalent of ascii code 7 or 8 or

I have a situation where I have a series of character codes stored in the database. In some cases they are the ASCII value of the character, in other cases they are the > 127 character code value that you use in combination with the ALT key to enter special characters into a document (e.g. ALT+0147 and ALT+0148 get you 'smart quotes'). I'm trying to figure out how (or if it's possible) to obtain the Unicode equivalent of the character...

Hi, I am writing unicode stings into a special text file that requires to have non-ascii characters as as octal-escaped UTF-8 codes. For example, the letter "Í" (latin capital I with acute, code point 205) would come out as "\303\215". I will also have to read back from the file later on and convert the escaped characters back into a unicode string.

Hello all, There could be flavors of this question discussed in the past, but I could not really make a head/tail out of it. I have bunch of unicode values stored in a string array and I want to see the corresponding characters displayed in an excel file. How could I go about doing that ? vector<stringunicodevalues; // has values 0041, 0042, ... 0410 etc. (hexa decimal values)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
