ECMA-334: event variable declarator

Standart describe grammar for events as (in EBNF):

event-declaration:
[attributes] [event-modifiers] "event" type variable-declarators ";"
[attributes] [event-modifiers] "event" type member-name "{"
event-accessor-declarations "}"

variable-declarators:
variable-declarator
variable-declarators "," variable-declarator

variable-declarator:
identifier
identifier "=" variable-initializer

i.e. according this standart it is possible to use variable-initializer in
event declaration. But I not found any examples in standart or open source
projects where declarators was used.

Question: Is it possible to use declarators in event declaration?

Alex.

Note this is crossposted to comp.lang.javacript and microsoft.public.dotnet.scripting. After some Googling and FAQing my understanding of these terms is, crudely: Javascript (3 different definitions): 1. The scripting language originally developed by Netscape. (I offer a Brief handle: "Original Netscape Script") 2. The current implementation of the ECMAscript 262 (3rd ed.) standard by Netscape. (I offer a brief handle: "Current...

Section 17.4.3 of the ECMA-334 C# Language Specification says 1 When a field-declaration includes a volatile modifier, the fields introduced by that declaration are volatile fields. 2 For non-volatile fields, optimization techniques that reorder instructions can lead to unexpected and unpredictable results in multi-threaded programs that access fields without synchronization such as that provided by the lock-statement (15.12). 3 These...

Is it possible to have C# run in an unmanaged environemnt if somebody should decide to implemnent it this way? Its possible to code C# projects without any dependancy on the libraries at all that ship with it and use other libraries? or is there a must have of any of them. I could reaplce System.dll with my own, System.Windows.. blah with my own etc.. After all these libraries are non standardised, only the language is.

Hi, Since C# is ECMA draft standard, why isn't VB.NET going for standardisation also? Is this because like VB6, it is a closed language and propriarty? VB6 will be ending in a few years officially (according to support.microsoft.com information), no good business reason to use a propriety language when a standard managed language exists. Is VB.NET ever going for ECMA standardization?

I'm a bit confused about ECMAScript docs. Can I legally change it format (say from .pdf to .html or .doc) or publish it on my web-site? ECMA provides a free of charge pdf version here: <http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/Ecma-262.htm> but I don't see any "terms of use" (probably because I'm looking in a wrong place).

Are there any differences between the version of C++/CLI as implemented in Visual C++ 2005 and the ECMA-372 C++/CLI Language Specification of December 2005 freely downloaded from ECMA ? Asking this on MS's web forums brought the reply that only an MS VC++ Compiler Team person would be able to answer this question, but I am hoping that someone here might know or point me to a web page which can answer my question. I think it is really...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
