Is it possible? I installed all the language scripts on my XP box, can see
russian chars in unicode xml file, but not chinese chars. See the same
thing in tree view as when i look at xml file in notepad.

I rebooted, recompiled and now the chinese, russian, and english chars are
showing up!
think that was it, font is still default San Serif..

Basically I just need to know how to output chinese characters. I am
assuming its very easy, but have never done it before. I can however do
simple things like changing the formats of currency and calendars and
so on.
I am guessing the answer is quite simple given; I assume Unicode would
support all the chinese characters right? Ideally I'd like them to be

If I create a text file like "Sub WriteTextFile" I can read the file
"file1.txt" using "Sub ReadTextFile" correctly, Whereas If I create the same
text file using NotePad.exe I can only read out these 2 strings: " is a

Can someone point me to an example of a little program that emits non-ascii
Unicode characters (Russian or Chinese perhaps)? The unicode
Russian/Cyrillic alphabet starts at 0x410. Is this possible to do in a
console mode program? If not, I guess I would want to use pywin32 to create
