Automatically logged out

Hi,

I know I've seen this thread around here somewhere before, but I can't seem
to find it, so I'm asking the question anew.

When trying to connect to my Terminal Server (Windows 2003) I get logged out
before I have even seen the desktop. I log in and the dialog for personal
settings shows up and is immidiately followed by "logging out" and "saving
your settings".

This happend regardless of the user and workstation.

Could someone tell me why this is.

Thanks,
Philip

I have serveral databases that I want to combine in order to manage the databases more efficiently. - I'm currently using MySQL 4.1.12 and I'm currently testing 5.0.14 - I have a databases for each user account. - Each database has the same schema and entity relation model.

Ok, this is a very unique bug. I have only been able to find one other post related to this online, and everybody who responded misunderstood the problem. I am not trying to reference anything in the BIN folder directly. Here is the problem. I had a site running without any problems, and then all of a sudden it went down and visitors started getting the error message "Directory 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\www.mysite.com\bin' does not exist....

The subject may sound a little cryptic, so i'll try my best to explain. Details are unavailable, as i am under a nondisclosure agreement, but i'm looking for general principles and tips, not necessarily fixes for existing code. There is a website that requires me to log in using a web-form. Obviously, POST vars are sent and verified and on success i'm given a Session and/or Cookie. Within this logged-in area, there are links leading to...

Hi. How can I schedule an ASPX page to execute every hour? I know this request is odd & there are plenty of better ways to accomplish running an automated task every hour. That being said, is it possible to do this? Basically I have an ASPX page that, when opened, POSTS new customer records from our system to a partner company's system. This task must run once an hour and currently a user is manually running the application. Is it...

hello. I'm building a site using php I have a setup.php page wich has at the begining session_start(); and every single page from my site includes setup.php. When a user registers I save in $_SESSION the userName, so that when ! isset($_SESSION) I can redirect him to the login.php page. After some inactivityperiod, e.g. 20 min, I need that user to be automatically logged off. Besides I need to keep track of the users that are online in...

asp.net 2.0 I have set my web.config as follows: <forms timeout="30"/(I know that's the default but I may chang it so the line's in there) I also have a few cookies I'm setting on my login page to hold the UserName, UserID and the value of another field in my db so that as the user is navigating around the site I can test for certain things. All that seems to be fine. I've set the cookies to expire in 30 minutes also to coordinate...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
