method attributes blocking VSNET2003 intellisense

We recently ported our code from VSNET2002 to 2003

After migration, we noticed that several properties of one of our classes no longer pop up in intellisense ( the get_ set_ methods pop up, but the properties don't).

Some digging shows that the MSIL generated for the culprit properties includes a few extra method attributes ( newslot virtual final ). And these attributes are causing the problem in VSNET2003 intellisense. (Everything works fine in VSNET2002 intellisense).

Is it possible to configure the VSNET2003 intellisense to recognize these props?

I'm new to VS.NET, C#, and the enumerated datatype. I'm told that VS.NET 2005 Intellisense will pop up the members of an enum as a selection list if you are using the enum as a method parameter. This sounds very handy. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a basic C# code sample showing how this would be set up, both the enum and the method. So let's say you're building a method, "ReturnPageType(...)", and you want an...

Hello, I'm creating a custom control which inherits from Calendar. I wanted to know which attributes should I put to my properties and on my control to make the designer recognize it. For example, if you create a textbox by starting to write : <asp:Textbox and then you hit the space bar (or Ctrl+space), VS proposes you a list of the properties of the Textbox control... If microsoft's controls can do it, why mine couldn't ??

Hi, as of last Friday VC8's intellisense started to completely block one CPU (our developer machines have two) without getting anywhere. This is a 1.2MLOC solution with 28 projects. We have already found http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback/viewfeedback.aspx?feedbackid=5b68ae70-03ea-47b6-84ea-d18cafc735ff which mentions deleting NCB files as a workaround. That doesn't work here. Then there's...

Hi All, I've recently been venturing into the world of WPF and as a bit of a newbie in the subject I need all the help I can get. I'm using VS2008 with SP1 and Intellisense works fine for me on standard XAML tags, but I don't have any for attributes. I've done a rudimentary search on the web and found a couple of similar issues but I don't have the problems explained in those posts. Does anyone know if intellisense should be working for XAML...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
