Is it possible to use JavaScript to cause the browser to click a link on a
page and have the browser act exactly like the user had clicked on the link
directly?
In other words, I need to programmatically issue a JavaScript statement
which causes the browser to act just like the user clicked on a link in my
page. And if that link has an onClick JS event defined, I'd want that
onClick event to execute too, exactly the same as if the user...

It might be me but...
I dont seem to get a Page_Load event when a opening an ASPX in an iFrame. I
do geta Page_Load event when an item on the ASPX (inside the iFrame) is
clicked but then IsPostBack=False by now!. The ASPX is opened via client
side script (into an iFrame) inside a .HTM file (as ASPX postback causes
problems in a modal internet explorer dialog if not in an iFrame!)
Anyone know how to get around this - i need to...

I did a ton of searching to try and find a simple solution to this issue and finally wrote my own, which I am sharing with everyone. In my searching, I did find a very complete and robust solution at
http://weblogs.asp.net/asmith/archive/2003/09/15/27684.aspx
but it was far more complex then I needed. (I got lost trying to figure it all out). Therefore, here goes my simple "web dialog box with parent event handler fireing" solution.

I allow users to click a datagrid row and it spawns another browser page to
allow edits to the data in that row. Once they update the data, it is
committed to the database and the form is closed. Once the edit page is
closed, I need to trigger the search button click event in order to refresh
the datagrid with the original search criteria. I cannot figure out how to
trigger the Button1_ServerClick event of the main page from the called...

Hi,
I have an asp.net web application which uses a pop-up form that works a bit
like a dialog box. when the user clicks "OK" it does a postback (basically a
form post if you don't know .net) to save the contents of the form, and then
I put an onload event to do a window.close.
this works fine for hundreds of people on different browsers. However, for
one user the window does not close.

I am writing an application that requires the a portion of the main
menu to be dynamic. The menu has file, panels, view files and help
across the top. The view files sub menu needs to be dynamically
generated, and the dynamic generation needs to occur right when the
user selects this menu item (that is on the Popup event handler).
However, everytime I put following code on the Popup event handler (of
the View Files menuitem) to dynamically...

Hi,
I have a main page that opens a pop up window when the user clicks a
link. The pop up window is a menu and when the user clicks the item, it
populates a form input element on the 'parent' window.
My question is: this new populated form element is the value that I use
to change a style.
onchange does not watch this form element because of getelementbyid, so

To comp.databases.ms-access --
I would like to trigger an event when I close a form -- but ONLY when
the data in the "RecordSource" table has been updated. I tried using
the AfterUpdate event, but it fires multiple times when the form is
closed ... and I only want my event to be triggered once. Could
someone tell me a good way to do this? I'm using Microsoft Access
2003. Thanks very much!

Ok, I'm pretty new to VB.Net, so please bear with me. Imagine the
Load event of one of my forms includes the following:
Dim ctrl as Control
Dim txtbox As TextBox
For Each ctrl In Me.Controls
If TypeOf ctrl Is TextBox Then
txtbox = CType(ctrl, TextBox)
AddHandler txtbox.ModifiedChanged, AddressOf TextBoxChanged

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
