Does anyone know how I'd set the local computer's date/time in C#?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,
As far as I know, there is no class in .Net to do this. You have to go
the unmanaged way using pInvoke

I havent really tried it but you can try using the SetLocaleInfo in
Kernel32.

I need to set tabs on java generated pages. Pages have four sections: header, sidebar, body, and footer. The sidebar and body change dynamically. The tab key must go to anchors, fields, and buttons doing all in the header first, all in the sidebar second, etc. A base page contains includes for all the pieces and has the body tag. I am trying to use code pasted below. Help would be appreciated. Thanks <script language="javascript"> <!--

This has to be a very common question, but my search did not come up with an answer. I needed to set an expiration time for a cookie. In .NET, is seems that the server-side code is used to set the expiration date of the cookie. More specifically, I've seen several examples (from the Microsoft site) where the cookie information, including the expiration date is set on the server. I wonder how this can work. If the client and server do not...

Hi, I have the following function to convert UTC time to Local time. It works perfect for GMT- (Minus) time zones however it provides incorrect results for GMT+(Plus) time zones? // Format to local time from UTC function formatToLocalTimeDate(inDate) { var today = new Date(); var inDateMod = new Date(inDate);

I know there are many threads on this topic but I haven't yet found an answer to this question. I'd like to map from a utc to a local time in an arbitrary timezone (not necessary the default local timezone). To do this on UNIX is relatively straightforward by setting the TZ environment variable (and calling time.tzset()). On Windows, one can get close to the answer using the pytz module (to load the timezone based on the standard UNIX...

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

I have some code that manages local user logins. When I create a new user I want to set the password to expire every x days and the number of failed login attempts before the account is disable/locked out. I can't seem to figure out how. I saw two properties in MSDN BadPasswordAttempts and MaxPasswordAge but I can't seem to set them on the new user. my code looks like this DirectoryEntry newUser = null; ;

Hi I am working on a security network camera system as part of a summer project of mine. The camera allows use of a TCP server for event configuration. I have coded a simple TCP server which beeps and accesses the camera interface (through a web browser) when a switch connected to the camera is pressed: SOCKET client; sockaddr_in from; int fromlen=sizeof(from); while(true)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
