Retrieve POP3 Mail Headers

Is it possible to retrieve the headers only from a pop3
mail server.

I can currently retrive the message id and size but would
like more information ideally the following:

Subject
From
To

Before downloading the mail from the server

Thanks in advance

The TOP command will retrive the header and X number of lines of the body.

TOP <msg#> <#ofLines>\r\ n
i.e.

//Gets header of message numer 1 plus 1 line of the body.
TOP 1 1\r\n

If you need a component to do this for you check out:

Hi everybody, I just would like to download the new mails I received on my POP3 server (and keep a copy on the server) I use PHP 4.3 and IMAP functions (they are compatible with both POP3 and IMAP servers). When I use OUTLOOK, no problem, in less than 5 seconds, it answers me: " you have XX new messages"

Lo all, I've written a simple program that connects to a POP3 server, allows me to authenticate and then retrieves a certain message. The problem I'm having is that when it retrives the message and prints it to the console, I get different results depending on if I use a while loop or a do-while loop. When I use a while loop, I get some of the headers but no message body. When I use a do-while loop, I get some of the same different...

Hi, I'm getting vast numbers of fake upgrade emails containing some kind of virus. My rather old client can be made to reject these based on some patterns in the subject line. They're nearly all based on the word 'New', 'Latest', 'Microsoft', 'Patch', 'Pack', ... etc etc. Is there a python tool that can be made to delete these from my POP3 mail box rather than let my client reject? Quite a few seem to have semi-valid return addresses so...

I have a free web mail address and would like to use python to retrieve files that have been emailed to me. The basic code would accommodate cookies, a login name and password, then download using the full URL I can provide. From postings here I thought mechanize held promise, but I've found it to contain filenames that are invalid for MSDOS (too many characters, and/or too many dots in the name, etc.) so I have little hope that the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
