Blazej,

What you could do is derive another class from RichTextBox. To this
class, you would add methods that allow you to set the scroll position and
also an event that would be fired when the scrolling is changed. Once you
have that, you can have the form or container manage the two text boxes when
the scrolling occurs. When one scrolls, the scroll position on the other is
set.

Hope this helps.

Hi, (also posted in netscape.public.mozilla.browser) i use netscape 7 and want to hide the scrollbars of the window when something happens. I tried this: window.scrollbars.visible=false window.scrollbars.visibility="no" .... nothing works Is it also possible only to hide the vertical scrollbar instead of both?

Okay, you are all so smart in here. Answer me this: IE6 in standards mode doesn't seem to hide scrollbars on the body element (overflow:hide) Ain't this a quandary. I have it in my head that I need to specify html instead. The scrollbars do hide on Gecko browsers though, so there is definitely a disagreement among browser developers on how to implement scrollbars (as a side note, Gecko browsers with their notoriously bug-ridden...

I'm trying to synchronize the scrolling of two <div> elements. The top element is for showing column headers, the bottom div shows the table rows. I consed up the following HTML/JavaScript concoction which does something useful in IE and also in Mozilla 1.4. However, the problem is that it only works in Mozilla if I say overflow:auto in the top frame, it ceases working if I say overflow:hidden. But saying overflow:hidden is...

I open an fstream in read-only mode, read till the end, then try to sync() before seeking to position 0 & reading again. But the sync fails. I discovered that clear()ing the stream before the sync causes the sync to work. Seeking to position 0 before the sync doesn't seem to help. If you look at sync() as simply invalidating the read buffer (isn't that right?), isn't it illogical for it to fail in this situation? Besides sync()...

I'm assigning a new datasource (a datatable) to a datagrid that is aready displayed in a form. Then I assign a new value to CurrentRowIndex. The datagrid always scrolls so that the new current row is visible. However, the vertical scrollbar does not always adjust accordingly. Upon the first instance of assigning a new datasource and setting the currentrowindex to the _last_ record, the part of the vertical scrollbar that can be...

Does anyone know what would cause a popup with scrollbars=1 to suddenly lose its scrollbars? I have a popup from window.open (....scrollbars=1..) and it used to be a normal window that would have it scrollbars. Now, at least on some machines, not all, the scrollbars are nor present. The user has to click on the screen and drag the mouse to move the webpage down. Any ideas? Thank you for any help.

I am reading TC++PL3 and on page 644 it is mentioned: "Flushing an istream is done using sync(). This cannot always be done right. For some kinds of streams, we would have to reread characters from the real source - and that is not always possible or desirable. Consequently, sync() returns 0 if it succeeded. If it failed, it sets ios_base::badbit (21.3.3) and returns -1. Again, setting badbit might trigger an exception (21.3.6). A sync()...

Hello there! I am trying to build an application here which I have to produce for my examination in a few days. A part of the appearance of the project requires me to use two listviews. The working of the project is such that the contents of the listview are compared against each other and the difference is picked from em. That part is handled. Now the issue is that I need to synchronize the listview control's scroll bars so that when listview1...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
