Hi group
I have a webform which I want to make an ftp connection for a
filetransfer from.
The thing is when I use the WebRequest class it says "The URI prefix
is not recognized" and my URI is ftp://localhost/
Then I discovered that the WebRequest class has a RegisterPrefix
method which takes a string as prefix and it needs a
System.Net.IWebRequestCreate but how is such one made ?

I have a situation where I need to control the creation of a class.
I need to be able to create it externally but only by classes that I define.
To accomplish this I thought of the following process:
Define a delegate that returns an instance of my class.
Pass this an instance of this delegate to any classes that I want to be
able to create instances of myclass.
i.e.

All,
I recently started at a company that has a number of older MS Access
97 database applications that support production and order
fulfillment. There is one database with which I have the following
problems:
1) no one can make modifications to the database except by logging in
using the database creator's userid and password on the workstation
used by that person, who has of course left the company. Anyone else

I have a javascript object which dynamically generates a table adding,
deleting and moving rows as the user clicks on buttons or links.
Problem is when I generate a table row and add the javascript method
call to my class, I have to put the object instance name variable of
the class in order for it to be called from the onclick=function().
This is seriously limiting, but I'm stuck for a way round it. Heres a
edited of the code so you get...

Hello all, I'd like to know if there is a nice method of defining a
functor creator which accepts an N-ary function and returns a functor
based on that function.
For example I have a function:
template<class X, class Y, class Z>
X function(Y, Z);
Passing it to the functor creator will give a functor equivalent to:
template<class X, class Y, class Z>

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
