I've written an ASP.NET application in VB.NET. It works fine on all
Windows platforms and browsers, but there's a problem on the Mac
version of IE (v5.1.5) running on Mac OS 9.2.
I can reproduce the problem as follows:

Hello,
In my application I am trying to load up some forms, however the loading of the forms is causing a lot of flickering. Are there any commands that can stop showing the repainting of the forms and thus make for a smoother running application.

I have a simple search screen, with two drop-downs and a text box. There's
also a GridView control that is using a SqlDataSource control to show the
matching results. The SqlDataSource uses the control values in its query as
parameters. Two questions:
1. When the Find button is clicked, how do I tell the GridView to load the
data?
2. How do I stop the GridView from data binding when the page first loads? I

Hi,
I am executing a piece of javascript that does some intensive
processing (sorting large tables). This can take a good few seconds so
I have an animated gif as a progress bar to let the user know that
something is happening.
However, the GIF does not animate when the javascript is processing.
Anyone know why?
I am aware that animated GIFs stop animating when a page is loading,
but I am not loading the page here.

I'm looking for simple class to get web-page with some members to
control execution:
1. string Get(string URL) - just get html-page
2. bool Busy - return true while object loading resource
3. Stop() to stop execution
There are problems to use HTTPWebRequest.GetResponse as it lock main
thread.

I added a user control to a webform in Asp.net 2.0. I am also adding
several other user controls to this webform. Now I am trying to find

I am using CancelAsyncPostback in an attempt to stop a page from loading. It actually works (the page wont get a postback) but the server keeps running, processing data I dont want processed until it gets done with a task I really didnt want done because I didnt realize how long it took
I tried adding a button to do a server transfer to "./Default.aspx" but it only transfered AFTER the processing was complete.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
