Is there a way to catch HTTP 4xx and 5xx errors occuring in an IFRAME?
I want to replace the blue and white tomcat error pages, with a small
discrete text saying "The page currently not available".
The browser in question is Mozilla 1.3.1. But it would be nice if the
solution also worked in Opera 7.x, and IE 5.x and 6.x.
I know that setting an onError function on the IFRAME doesn't work,
both because says that it only works for...

I have an MDI application with a number of child windows. In each child
window I am catching the Closing event and having the child window decide if
it should set cancel to true. The intent here is to ensure that no child
window can close while it is in a state where user entered information can
be lost. I have just noticed that while the Closing event is caught if I
click the X on the child window, it is not caught if I click the X on...

FxCop complains every time I catch System.Exception.
I don't see the value in trying to catch every possible exception type
(or even figuring out what exceptions can be caught) by a given block
of code, when System.Exception seems to get the job done for me.
My application is an ASP.Net intranet site. When I catch an exception,
I log the stack trace and deal with it, normally by displaying an error

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this question belongs to FAQ, but I couldn't find a
concrete answer.
I created a Datagrid control using ItemTemplate, but it's NOT a
in-place editing datagrid. One of the columns of the data grid
contains a DropDownlist. I managed to create this datagrid control as
follows.

Hi,
In my app I've done the following:
.....
wReq=(HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(someURL);
.....
wRes=(HttpWebResponse)(wReq).GetResponse();
On this last line, the GetResponse generates a failure and my app
crashes with an exception error.

Hi,
I wonder if anyone knows how an application that employs remote
scripting/callbacks should deal with an authentication timeout during a
callback? At the moment my application just stops working until I refresh
the page and log in again. I'm not really sure what its going in - perhaps
the framework is trying to redirect the callback result to the login page?
Any ideas?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
