c# line breaks in a text box

I've been trying to put line breaks in a text box ("\n") but the breaks come
through as boxes in the program. I have the text box set to multline though.
Is there any way to get around this? It doesn't necessarily have to be a
text box, just anything that allows you to copy text off it. A text box
would be easiest though. Do you use something besides "\n" to insert a
break?

Thanks.

When I have data pulled from the database into a textbox there are hard line breaks at the end of each line (by definition how Lines property works, right?). But, the textbox is used for editing data previously entered into the database. Ideally, what I want is just a hard...

Didn't know exactly where to post this, but: How do I get line breaks in a textarea? I'm pulling text from a database, and this text definately has line breaks in it, because I replaced all the line breaks with <br /> tags ( using the php function nl2br() ), and <br /> tags showed up in the textarea.

We have VS2005 ASP.NET 2.0 application that needs to have each paragraph separated by a line break. I have added "<br />" into the text column (SQL 2000) and it works fine when displaying on a web page (GridView). However, when I export the to Excel it creates separate rows for each line break, but I don't want that. Does anyone have a...

I'm doing some text swapping with javascript, got it working fine, but I would like the line to have line breaks and being a beginner, I don't even know if this is possible. So I have a line like this swaptext('Shaun, Greg, Violet, Joel, 1999')"; and I would like 1999 to be on a new line. Is there a simple way to do this? I'd swear I've seen...
