Custom Control Visibility

Hi,

I have written a custom control, which I use on 2 ASP.NET pages.
The strange part of it : on the one page, it is displayed correctly,
in the second it is not displayed.

When I take a look to the control's visibility property, it seems the
visibility of the control is set to false, although in my code I put
it on true:

this.myControl. Visible = true;

With the imidiate window, the value of this.myControl. Visible is
false, just after executing the row above.

Anybody who has an idea?
Thanks!

Hi, I wonder if it's possible to replace standard text on confirm-popup buttons from 'ok' and 'cancel' to some other captions. If not, is there a way to create quickly custom dialog, with only two buttons, returning 'true' or 'false'? Would I have to use forms to return value from my custom dialog? Thanx for any help.

I was looking at an example for creating a custom validator and I am not quite sure how I can pass the parameters that I am wanting to look at. So for instance I am writing a generic Javascript routine in which I pass the reference to 2 controls that I want to look at and a third control which has the error message in which I will change the visibility of the style from visible to hidden. How do I pass these parameter values...the ID of...

I'm in the process of expanding my knowledge and use of Class Modules. I've perused MSDN and this and other sites, and I'm pretty comfortable with my understanding of Class Modules with the exception of custom Collection Classes. Background: I'm developing an A2K .mdb to be deployed as an .mde at my current job-site. It has several custom controls which utilize custom classes to wrap built-in controls, and add additional functionality....

Hello, I have a products page that takes a product ID in the query string. Based on the product details (from a database), the page then loads up one of a number of custom controls, calls a method in the control (that displays product info) and then loads the control into a placeholder so it will be displayed. I want to be able to restore the state of the controls in the custom control, but can't get it to work. For example, the...

Is it possible to write an attribute that changes the visibility of a class (public/private) etc based on some pre-compiler define symbol? We're writing some classes which will be called by an external (bespoke) test harness, so we want then to be public in the assembly when we're testing, and private in the class the rest of the time. For example

I am trying to get to grips with the asp.net ajaxcontrol toolkit, and am trying to add a tabbed control to the page. I have no problems within the aspx file, and can dynamically manipulate a tabcontainer which has 1 panel already, however I want to try create the TabPanels dynamically. I followed the advice here: http://www.asp.net/learn/ajax-videos/video-156.aspx (3rd comment - Joe Stagner)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
