Hello Everybody
Can you let me know of a javascript/dom routine that will automatically put
the flashing cursor in the first text box in my form so that it is ready for
entry rather than the user having to click into the first textbox with their
mouse.
Please note that my forms are created dynamically so I won't know the given
name of the first textbox so some form of index would be better.

I'm trying to do this within a control I've created:
Cursor.Current = Cursors.WaitCursor;
During the initialization of the parent form, my control gets added to the
form, and while the control is being intialized, I call a method within the
control that sets the cursor to Cursors.WaitCursor, then processing
continues. I want the Cursor to remain that way until I set it back at any
given time, and if I don't set it back, I want to...

I am trying to figure out how to prevent scrolling when I append text.
It scrolls to the bottom whenever I use AppendText.
It jumps to the top whenever I += text to the Text property.

On a multi-textbox form, linked to an external js, I use onBlur to call:
function chkNum(cellname) {
var str = document.getElementById(cellname).value.toString(10);
if (str < 28 || str > 36) {alert("Temperature entered is out of range.");
return;}
}
I enter data into the first textbox and move the cursor to the second
textbox. The function is properly called. Since textbox2 is empty, when I

Hi,
I'm working on an application in C# that will allow the user to create
simple CAD drawings on a CEPC system. I would like to be able to change the
cursor shape depending on the drawing mode selected by the user. I started
out by setting up P/Invokes for LoadCursor and SetCursor. Calling
LoadCursor followed by SetCursor does allow me to change to a different
cursor, such as the cross cursor, but as soon as the application leaves...

Hi, I'm quite new to C# allthough I've been programming in other
languages for quite a while.
I'd like to change the blinking cursor inside a TextBox, I guess I
must derive the class and override the OnPaint()-method, however I
have no clue what to do next. I want to be able to switch the blinking
cursor to a solid, non-blinking, cursor and preferable have it with a
color.
So, how should I do that?

Hi, I'm using vs2005, .net 2 for a windows application. I have a
richtextbox control on my form that I make it readonly.
1. Do I need to make readonly to be false to append text to it?
2. Even though I chose the Cursor property of the richtextbox to be "No"
but when I run the application I can still click on the RTB and got a Ibeam
cursor among my text. Is there a way to prevent a user being able to click
on the text and get the ibeam...

I found this handy little script on the net that means the user can
only press backspace or numbers in form input.
<script type="text/javascript">
function numbersonly(e){
var unicode=e.charCode? e.charCode : e.keyCode
if (unicode!=8){ //if the key isn't the backspace key (which we should
allow)
if (unicode<48||unicode>57) //if not a number
return false //disable key press

Anyone know, in VB.NET (2005) how to prevent duplicate occurrences of the
same event handler on an event?
e.g... I have some object which raises an event, and some other class which
consumes them. So in essence what I want to do is something like this in the
consumer class...
If Not objEventSource.SomeEvent.Handlers.Contains(AddressOf me.EventHandler)
Then _
AddHandler objEventSource.SomeEvent, AddressOf me.EventHandler

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
