Adding MRU List to C# Windows Form

I have added a mainmenu object to my windows form and would like to
display an MRU list on it. Is there an easy way? or do I have to do
it programatically ? Can anyone point me to a good tutorial.

Thanks for the help.

It is a sample application that maintains a menu list of active windows, you
should be able to adapt to a MRU list. Project is in Borland C#Builder,
should be easy to adapt to MS

Hi all, Is there any .NET way (I am not rulling out API usage) to add button(s) to a form's title bar? I found some non-.NET solutions that did actually work in VB6 but not in the ..NET forms... I tried painting, but the paintaing area provided by the form is only the client area - no visible way to paint on the title bar.

Project: ---------------------------- I am creating a HTTPS File Transfer App using ASP.NET and C#. I am utilizing ActiveDirectory and windows security to manage the permissions. Why reinvent the wheel, right? Everything so far is working well with the Active Directory. The problem I am having is with adding File Permissions to a directory. I am currently using some code courtesy of "Willy Denoyette "

If item is a ListViewItem and str is a string, why do the following two lines not have the same effect ? item.SubItems.Add(new ListViewItem.ListViewSubItem()).Text = str; item.SubItems.Add(str); In the example code that follows, using the first line (in the ListView constructor) causes the later redisplay of values (to some specified number of decimal places) in the ListView not to work. Using the second line causes

Hi, I am new to .Net. I am using a Combo Box in my windows forms. I am adding the items by creating the instances and adding the same to the list. My questions/doubts are: 1. If I have 25 to 30 options in each combo box and like that if we have 6 or 7 combo boxes in a form, isnt it a problem in creating that number of instances everytime the form is opened/activated 2. How do I dispose the Combo Box items.

Hi all, I have following problem: I'm creating a ListView (Details) control at run-time and filling it with some records (let's say 10 000). This operation seems to be quite fast, but when I call Controls.Add(list), where list is my ListView control, then program hangs for minute. It seems like this time depends on number of records added to control. So probably when adding control to my form, those records are actualy added at this time...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
