Dynamic dll loading and PInvoke

hello everybody,
I have to invoke a function defined in a c dll from a c# program, but I
don't know the dll name at compile time.
How do I declare and invoke this function using LoadLibrary and
GetProcAddress (GetProcAddress returns a function pointer!) ?

Any idea ? Any code example ?
Thanks

Andrea

That will throw a System.BadImage FormatException

The place to look is in the System.Reflecti on.Emit namespace,
specifically the TypeBuilder.Def inePInvokeMetho d method.

Depending upon your requirements, you might be able to borrow some
ideas from this code:

Hi, When I start my PC(winXP Pro), it always says: Unknown(): Unable toload dynamic library './php_msql.dll' - The specified module could not be found. Then my Apache servre starts, load php module and works well. I copied php_msql.dll to my system32 directory. Who knows what's wrong? Thanks a lot?

hi, I am facing a wierd problem with dyanamic class loading. I have a namespace called ETS.DAO which contains my Data Access Object classes. All these classes implement a common interface which is also in the same namespace. I have a namespace ETS.Controller which contain my comtroller classes. My Web client instantiates the controller who in turn fires appropriate methods on the DAOs. In the controller i am using dynamic class loading...

I have an application that I would like third party developers to be able to create Plug-ins that will be dynamically loaded into our application to extend functionality. I have utilized the "Let Users Add Functionality to Your .NET Applications with Macros and Plug-Ins" article at MSDN for the dynamic loading of DLLs http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/03/10/Plug-Ins/default.aspx

Hi Ive been using Mattias Sjögren's example at http://www.msjogren.net/dotnet/eng/samples/dotnet_dynpinvoke.asp to load an unmanaged 3rd party dll dynamically when my object is created. Calling the "CreateDllAssembly" function below does this. When my wrapper is disposed of, I want the dll to be unloaded from memory. See the "dispose" function below. All seems to work ok on the first instance of my wrapper class. (I only

I got a tough question: The backgroud for this question is: I want to design an application works like a engine. After release, we can still customize a form by adding a button, and source code for the button. (This is done by the form itself, not by using VS.Net) (button and source code should be a record in database, these information should be retrieve from database when the form shows up) What I want is:

I have been trying to build python on Cray X1. As far as I can tell it does not support dynamic loading. So the question is: How to build 2.4 without dynamic loading? That is: can I build 2.4 where all the extensions are archived in libpython2.4.a as a static library? Building on the Cray X1 is slow, so I have been trying to also build it under Linux without dynamic loading since it

Hi. This is just a disaster management question. I am using XMLHTTP for the dynamic loading of content in a very crucial area of my web site. Same as an IFrame, but using XMLHTTP and a DIV. I got the core of the javascript from here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm I noticed in the demo that sometimes the content takes a long

We've got a wierd failure happening on just one machine. One part of our product uses a 3rd party search implementation (dtSearch). DtSearch has a native core (dten600.dll), late-bound, and a managed wrapper (dtSearchNetApi2.dll). For reasons unknown our build and msi packaging process includes dtSearchNetApi2.dll but not dten600.dll in all packages, as well as a couple of assemblies that reference it, even though they are not used by...

I often use Python to write small programs, in the range of 50-500 lines of code. For example to process some bioinformatics data, perform some data munging, to apply a randomized optimization algorithm to solve a certain messy problem, and many different things. For that I often use several general modules that I have written, like implementation of certain data structures, and small general "utility" functions/classes, plus of course...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
