I have a Windows form application that has a start button, a progress bar and also writes information to the status bar the code is C#. My problem is that when you hit the start button and the program executes then the application window does not get refreshed so you just see an ugly gray rectangle until the application ends. The status and progress bar do get updated but still if you toggle to another application and then toggle back to...

Hi, My VC++ application does not have a titlebar (and therefore no System menu, no minimize, no maximize and no close button). We have a custom button for minimize and close. When the app is in normal/maximized view, clickinng on the taskbar entry does not minimize the application. Normally (with apps with titlebar), the application would minimize when you click on

Hello! I have a mainManu where I can chose to display some window forms. When the mainMenu is minimized I need to minimize every window form that is started from the mainMenu. So I need to catch the event that is trigged when the little underscore(the minimize icon) up to the right is clicked. I need to catch this event because all my child window forms must also be minimized

I also un-checked all of the check boxes in the database's Startup options menu. I then added a button to the form so that the user can close the database, and another button so that the form can minimized. I made the minimize button so that when it was used, something would show-up on the taskbar and not on the desktop (above the Start button). I figured the users would get confused when they had multiple windows open and couldn't find the...

Dear all, I'd like to know if there is any method to minimize command mode window when a console program is running. In my case, there are several console programs which run periodically in server. Now, every console program instance will open a command mode window and they occupy the whole screen. I want to minimize all of them and maximize it if neccessary by manual. Is it possible and how to do it? I'm using VB.NET 2005. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
