IExplorer cookies stubbornness.

IExplorer cookies stubbornness.

Hi,

I'm testing how my asp.net application reacts with a browser that does
not accept cookies.
Tested it with Opera and Mozilla with cookies off, I can clearly see
how I get a new sessionID on each hit.
However, with IExplorer, after setting "high" to security for local
zone, and on Privacy tab set to "Block all cookies", I see the
sessionID remains the same while I browse.
So, it seems no matter what, IE still accepting cookies.

Is this a common/normal behavior ?

I don't believe that is the correct behavior, but one way to see what
is being sent with each request is ieHTTPHeaders[1]. You'll see if a
cookie is sent or not.

Go here [1] and get a free copy of IE Cookie Viewer. It is an oustanding
application.
