Hi,
I have a Login.php page that logs the user in and out.
I has two forms within the page, (depending on what we are trying to do),
either one to log in or out.
The form calls itself using a post method and either logs the user in our
out given the information from the form.
but every pages use sessions and cookies, if the user is successfully logged
in then the cookies and session values are updated, (as well as MySQL).

I have an index.aspx page which includes top.aspx,
left.aspx, main.aspx and bottom.aspx.
In the left.aspx, there is a login web control -
login.ascx. It keeps session of username and role after
successful login and shows welcome user message and his
shopping cart link.

When the sessions times out I would like to take the user to the login page.
Currently even though session times out user will come to know only when he

Hi, I'm having a similar issue as the poster Mike whose message I copied
below... I have a page with an iframe... when I discover that the session
state is no longer valid in the page inside the iframe, I want to redirect
the parent page to a login page. Can anyone help me?

have a access to general public. So if they click that particular link
or button i want them to be re-directed to the login page and after
successful login i want to them to view the requested page.

Hi,
I'm getting an error on my login page when using Javascript session
object. It works on the development server so I'm wondering if there is
a setting in IIS to allow using sessions on the server.
When the user clicks on the submit button after entering their username
and password, it calls a function (below) and I get an "Object expected"
javascript error.

Hello.
If my users are logged in, and try to access restricted pages I want
to direct them to a custom 403 page. If they are not logged in, I
would like to continue to direct them to the login page as is
currently happening.
Curently, they always direct to the Login page in both cases, which i
think is confusing.
