I am a database consultant in need of developing an application in VB in order to access the API in a leading data modeling application. I require VB (com) expertise in accessing and manipulating data from the data modeling application, and then packaging it for commercial resale. I see this project as an excellent additional source of income. The initial project will be addressing demands from the user community, and then will be...

After initializing JVM, programs makes a JNI call FindClass() for getting java class. But FindClass method returns NULL even though java class exists in the CLASSPATH. Same program when is run from command window, FindClass method call is working fine. Is there any difference...

Hi, I am trying to implement a web server in C++. This is my first attempt at network programming so I am having a loot of trouble identifying the right classes, their jobs and their interactions. The aim is to make the web-server extensible, so that it serves static pages now, but can be extended to service dynamic pages later on.

In a nutshell, I'd like to have a list of items, each of which fills out a small table which displays some info about a particular item(the items being a trouble ticket for a tech support ASP-built web-based app). There may be zero, one, or many of these per ticket. Since some tickets have many of these items (call them work items), the page can get awful long. I have this part working already. So my proposed solution to make the pages...

I'm having a problem getting this validation script to work. There are two images on the page with the ids of img_antirobot and img_chk_agree. In the final page it will validate about 12 entries, so this is just a snippet. If there are blank entries, the script is to change the appropriate images to warning icons. Unfortunately it aways errors at the getElementById with "undefined" as the reason. I know the names are right, so what's the...

I am looking for an asp.net web control to add to my project for selecting the time. The format needs to allow for selecting the Hour, Minute, Second or AM/PM portions of the text box and then when one of the sections are highlighted the up and down arrow keys will increment/decrement the value. I need to get this control ASAP. I am willing to pay for a license if needed but of course would prefer not to. Thanks, Shawn

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
