How to save a report history in reporting service with c# code?

I am using reporting service with asp.net.
I want to save a report snapshot in some time.
How do I do this in asp.net? Is there any web service to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Billy,

Yes we can call web service to do this.

Firstly we need to add web reference (by default the URL is
http://localhost/ReportServer/ReportService.asmx). Then we can call the
ReportingServic e.CreateReportH istorySnapshot Method to create the snapshot.

Here's the reference of this method:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...9(SQL.80).aspx

Please have a try and feel free to let me know if you need further
assistance.

Hello I am learning VB.NET and was toying with the idea of embellishing my database program with Crystal Reports to provide some data reporting facilities. I was put off by the cost of Crystal, however, and was wondering if there were any free or very low cost report writers that would work with VB.NET. I want to run the reports from within VB, extracting the data either from Access or SQL Server.

I have an application that uses Reporting Services. When the user chooses to print a report, they are taken to a window that allows them to fill in parameters for the report. They then click a button to either export to PDF or to EXCEL. Once the report is generated, the byte array containing the data is put into session and an aspx page is loaded into a hidded iframe that "prints" the report (using the byte array from session) causing...

I'm running SRS 2000 with SP2 and I'm using IE 6.0 with SP2 (and IE 7.0) to display and print my reports. After printing a report, there seems to be some problem with character sets or locale settings for IE. I have a web page that displays financial data with dollar signs. After printing (or previewing) a report, the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
