Any starter kits for a small software company?

Dan
Hi,

Is anyone aware of a free starter kit for a small software company? I'm
looking for something similar to the Small Business Starter Kit available at
http://www.asp.net/community/projects/#microsoft but specifically targeting
a shop selling a single app.

Thanks,
Dan

I think you need to look for a simple shopping cart script

I'm looking at the docs in VS2005 regarding starter kits and I noticed that the starter kits to download from the site are in vsi files (compressed), all except the shareware starter kit. MS docs says that templates should be in compressed files. The Shareware starter kit is in msi file so when you install it you get a solution that includes some other projects, but it does not appear in the templates when you want to start a new project....

Looking for an assessment of the reliability of the ASP.NET Starter Kits. We're considering using one of them as the foundation for a pretty significant client application and I don't want to get caught with my pants down due to some unforeseen bug or complication (an "oh, by the way..."). They look good upon initial examination, but we would like disinterested, third-party input, if possible. Thanks for your help. Darin

Hi I know it may be a little early in the proceedings, and ASP.NET 2.0 is not yet released, but does anyone know if there are any ASP>NET 2.0 versions of the Starter kits that were released with ASP.NET 1.0? I would just like to get a feel for how things should be done, as I'm going to install the next Beta when its released.

Hello, This should be very basic but i'm having hard time finding the C# version of the starter kits. There is a link in the Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition but that only opens the VB version of the personal starter kit. I went to download the starter kits from http://www.asp.net/vwd/starterkits.aspx?tabIndex=4&tabId=46 but the .vsi file does extract in 8,3 file format and when i open the project i do not

I am having a problem installing the starter kits. I have reinstalled VS 2005, think that might be the problem. I then installed both 'Personal Website" and the "Club Website" starter kits. I still have the same problem. Any web starter kit that is installed under 'My Templates" does not allow you to enter the location directory or use the browse button. Neither the "Personal Website" or the "Club Website" allows you to select the...

Hi, Yes, I'm one of the lonely ones who hasn't upgraded to VS2005.NET. Does anyone know where in MSDN, the code for the Starter-Kits for VS2003.NET? It seems like MSDN is very nicely ignoring VS2003.NET and the old .NET 1.1 framework. Thanks Ahead, Allan

So, I wanted to implement a very, very basic job posting capability to one of my website. I made some searches and I found there is a JOBS STARTER KIT !! Wow, "it's my lucky", I thought. I proceeded to download and install it, on a testing machine. All when smoothly. Cool ! I rapidly went and signed up my self, the sign up process asked me to decided whether I would be a job seeker or an employer. I picked the first and went straight...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
