HI, I know this might be very basic, but I have a asp.net site that I need
to recompile. I do have asp, net, although I have no idea how to use it. I
did see some info that I can use vbc.exe to recompile the site, but have no
idea how. Any info would be really appreciated.
Thanks

I have an aspx page that is always invoked by Response.Redirect calls from
other pages. I want my aspx page to always display in a new browser window.
Since the Response.Redirect calls from the other pages can't inoke _blank as
a target value, is there any way I can ensure that my aspx page always
displays in a new browser window without using javascript?
Thanks,
Tina

I create a user control that is used as a page header for all
application's pages. The user control contains a HyperLink control named
accountHyperlink whose text can either set to "Account/Logon" or
"Account/Logout" depending on whether the user is logged on. I want to cache
this user control for 1 hour but have it automatically reloaded if the
accountHyperlink.Text is changed. So I place the following line of code on
its ascx page:

Hi,
I have created a project (abc) in my wwwroot folder on my system. From
visual studio, i am able to run and view this page. Now I have deployed
on wwwroot folder and for this I have edited some code(in .vb pages)
according to the new path.
Since these pages are no longer part of the project file in visual
studio, how do I recompile my page so that it reflect the changes? Can
I compile/recompile and recreate the dll without visual...

Hello:
I just rolled out an ASP and realized afterwards that one of the lines was
commented out.
When I make uncomment the line, do I have to copy everything or just the
related aspx, and the vb code module?
Thanks.

My project is getting a bit large, and I would like to kick-start VS05 into
performing the error-checking compilation at my direction, rather than
waiting for it to self-start. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm having trouble getting a conditional force (namely friction) using
VB6. I have had no problem using constant or periodic forces. The
trouble seems to be that when defining the later you can use...
Dim FrictionEffect As DIEFFECT
and then just define the details of the force later on, and then use
ForceEffect when Starting the force.

Hi
This might seem an unusual request!
Does anybody know how to rebuild an ASP.NET 1.1 application on server
without Visual studio (i.e. compile on the server itself).
It would be fine if it was an ASP.NET 2.0 application I guess (would
recompile on the fly).

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
