How can a page title be supplied at runtime. It looks to me like it is hard
coded, but there must be some way.

this.Title

You can just use intellisense in visual studio and look at what the
page-object is capable of.
also - if you have the patience - you could read some tutorials on
msdn, codeproject, codeplex ...,
and you can search the newsgroups and the mentioned sites.

Hello Doug,

As Arthur suggested, the property "Page.Title " can help with the need to
change page title at runtime. For example:

public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.P age
{
protected void Page_Load(objec t sender, EventArgs e)
{
this.Title = "For Test";
}
}

I also have several good ASP.NET quickstart tutorial sites to be shared
with you:

ASP.NET Quickstart Tutorial
http://quickstarts.asp.net/QuickStartv20/aspnet/

Learn ASP.NET (Vedios, Tutorials, Media & Presentations, Documentation)
http://www.asp.net/LEARN/

Please let me know if you have any other concerns, or need anything else.

most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations

Hello, I am trying to find the <TITLE> element of my document. Normally alert(document.title); works just fine, but when this statement is within a page that is a frame in a larger document, the above call always returns the title of the parent (container) page. Is it possible through JS to deduce the <TITLE> element of the current page, even if that page is a frame?

Is it possible to insert newlines, or some other character, into <title> or <alt> to get the effect of a tooltip, where the page author controls the line breaks? If yes, could somebody send an example of how to do it? I'm interested in recent versions of IE and Netscape/Mozilla. Thanks in advance.

Some days ago I asked this forum whether it is possible to set up the <title> from the code-behind. A couple of poeple helped me and in fact it is quite ease: a) change the HTML, e.g.: <title id="titAV0010" runat="server"></title> b) define the field as GenericControl: protected System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlGenericControl titAV0010; c) change modifying the innerText property: titAV0010.InnerText = rm.GetString("AV0010.Title"); This...

Hey everyone. I'm editing some stuff I did last summer, trying to bugfix and improve stuff. One improvement (or an oversight of the original design) is adding dynamic <title> tags to my pages. Here's how I originally structured my php pages: include header.php (contents are basically my HTML/CSS up to the <!--begin content--> point) <php code>

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
