dataview w/ fixed header need it to scroll horizontally

mb
I know this sounds strange, but I have set up a dataview with a fixed
header, so the header does not scroll up with the rows of data.
However, I need the header to scroll horizontally (not vertically)
when the dataview does. Is it possible to do?

Thx

it can be done, but its a little tricky.

you bust the view into two divs, one with the header, and one with the
scrolling data. then with javascript be sure the columns are the same width
(or defined fixed with overflow set to hidden, scroll, or auto). then with
javascript you scroll the header to match the content.

this is an advanced dhtml/javascript coding task, so you will need to get a
book on javascript coding. you can also google for scrollable tables to get
sample code.

Does anyone know how to have a table with the header row(s) that stay in place as you scroll the table downwards, AND that scroll horizontally so the headers stay aligned with the data below it? Thanks.

I'm looking for the best JS/CSS solution to add functionality to tables. The only browser which needs to be supported is IE5.5+, but no activeX can be used. to be able to do: - Fixed header row - Data sorting (preferrably intelligently determining data type based on content) - If possible, locking the first column from scrolling

I'm trying to do something seemingly very simple, but it's brought me close to crushing my head on the keyboard. All I want is a table where the head row is fixed and the body columns below are scrollable (with the ordinary scrollbars, no less). Whatever I try, the columns in the head and the body aren't aligned; the widths are computed independently which gives a completely ragged look. Michael --

I am looking for a javascript solution to drag a series of images (along the horizontal axis only) within a fixed div to give the same drag effect of Google Maps. Here are the requirements: The div will be fixed, and its only display purpose is to give the preception of a "viewport" or window with its border. A variable number of images will be displayed inside the div. They will be aligned in a horizontal series, side by side, with some...

I have a table that I dynamically fill with data from a database for medical companies to be able to determine if their patients meet certain criteria. However they want a fixed header for it so they can keep track of the criteria as they scroll since there can be upwards of 1000 or more patients in the table. The way I got this to work was to enter the information in a table via C# by storing it in a label. This works fine and scrolls...

Hello misters, In another post of the news, mister Manish Bafna, give me a reference: http://www.dotnet247.com/247reference/a.aspx?u=http://datawebcontrols.com/faqs/CustomizingAppearance/ScrollableDataGridWithFixedHeader.shtml But my trouble continues. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
