Hi,
Is there any JavaScript that can force the download of an image or a list of
images before the HTML, or any other images are downloaded? This is
necessary so I can force the background image to download before anything
else does.
TIA,
Keiron

Hey Guys
I have a web application that allows users to download files. But the files
are not hosted on the webserver. The files are stored on external servers and
are referenced by a URL/URI. Since my application restricts the number of
downloads for the file per user, i cannot show the user the URL/URI of the
server hosting the file.
Therefore i need to some how route the file via my webserver, and then use
the Response to stream the...

Hi,
I'm unable to download a file that is having a 2-byte char in its name (e.g.テ) using force download option. Though, am able to download file names involving ASCII chars. I have tried URL encoding too, but with no success.
Can someone provide details on how to handle the 2-byte char URLs and download the files?
Appreciate your suggestions/help in resolving it.
Here is my code:

Hello,
I am trying to download a few files one after another from a remote
server. Problem is that I don't know how to, or if I am able at all,
set a time out for download. I don't want to time out whole script,
just a part if file won't download in 2mins then skip to the next one.
Previously, I had a Javascript implementation with AJAX, this time I
thought of doing it in PHP since PHP has far better array functions, I
don't have to do...

I have a large install file (an exe) on my web server that people
download and install from. Looking at my log files, I see a lot of
people downloading it, but no way to tell for sure if they completed the

PHP that would allow the web server to send the file and detect a
completion or cancellation? Or perpahs a javascript/PHP method?
Any help would be greatly...

My first thought is that I might need to use an applet?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello,
I am building my first .Net Application. The first couple of Publish
and Installs I did went fine. But after a couple of builds, I get a
modal dialogue box error every time upon trying to install using the
setup.exe. Title is "Cannot Start Application" and it says:
====================
Cannot download the application. The application is missing required
files. Contact application vendor for assistance.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
