Dynamically updating a parent page

The following used to update a parent page:

ClientScript.Re gisterStartupSc ript(typeof(Pag e), "ReloadPare nt",
"window.opener. location.href = 'ProjectOvervie w.aspx?projectI D=" +
Request.QuerySt ring.Get("proje ctID") + "';", true);

I added some Ajax, using the Ajax Toolkit, to the page, and now the script
does not update the parent. Is there a better way to update a parent page
than what I have above that will work with Ajax?

I have the script in a button click event, then when the user clicks submit,
it updates the popup, and parent windows.

Hi, I have 3 frames. One to let the user input a URL, one to display the page of that URL and one to display some info on that page (including all the links of the page). The problem is that when loading a new page into the frame, the links do not update in the other frame until I've loaded the page twice. It appears that the actual values in the links array do not update until after loading for the 2nd time. This is my script:

I have built a control that runs an on-line help system. Depending on the category you selected via dropdownlist, it goes out and gets the child subcategories, and if there are any, adds a new dropdownlist to the screen for selection. This continues until there are no children, and then it checks for a help article list based on that last selection and displays actual articles for display. Adding the controls and getting everything...

I'm very new to ASP.Net and probably jumped in a little over my head, but... I'm trying to create a user control that will control navigation through my site. It's sortof like Amazon.com, where there are tabs at the top with "submenu" buttons showing below the selected tab. The data that defines the tabs and submenus is stored in an XML file and I'm using nested repeaters to build them dynamically. I've got it working pretty well, except...

Hello, I have a page with a RadioButtonList and a PlaceHolder control. The RadioButtonList's AutoPostBack attribute is set to TRUE and its SelectedIndexChanged event loads one of three UserControls into the PlaceHolder's child control collection depending upon which of the three radio buttons is selected. Each of the three UserControls have postback events themselves triggered by button clicks. The problem I'm having is keeping track of...

Hi Guys, Using VB .NET 2003 and ASP1.1, I have a Datagrid embedded in an ASP page. In the processing of the ItemDataBound event I dynamically create a new Datagrid control within the Cell of the Parent (this refelect GUI'wise a Parent Child related data). I also add Handlers to the sub datagrid using AddHandler to handle the EditCommandColumn as well as ItemDataBound. Parent Datagrid...

I have a page with some form elements that are dynamically generated. They are inserted into the dom by first cloning a node, changing the values like name, and then inserted with insertBefore(). When a field gets added, a link that opens a popup window is next to it. The popup is opened and has the name of the parent element it should change in it. The user can use the popup to get a list of results. In the results I would like them...

I want to dynamically update a list of elements shown as a checkbox list. A file is used to store the elements, and elements can be added and deleted from the list. The trouble is that the window is not properly updated after deleting/adding items. I use the Detach()/Destroy() to remove the sizer, and then I create a new and updated sizer again. Apparently, not in a correct way... #################File...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
