Visual Studio 2008 Problem. Control not recognized.

Hello,

I had a class library which was working in Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2.

Now that I installed the final version of VS2008 I get a error in my
code:

Dim footer As New HtmlTableFooter Section

HtmlTableFooter Section is not recognized.

What is wrong?

Thanks,
Miguel

System.Web.UI.H tmlControls.Htm lTableFooterSec tion is not in the class
library. Apparently, it didn't make the final cut.

You might just want to load it into Reflector and find out by looking at the
decompiled code in the ListView Control.

Hi, If you use Norton Internet Security, you might be having the same problem I'm having when developing on Visual Studio .net. Before, when using vb6, I had only once to set a rule on the firewall to permit VB6.exe to access the internet and I could run any project without getting the "Program Control" pop-up window. Now, with visual studio .net, every time I run/debug a project, that annoying "Program Control" window pops up and I...

Hiya Im trying to get a user control working in mono/ASP.NET. ....I have no problem getting a basic control up and working and using it declaratively in a hosting page's .aspx file. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to access that control from the hosting page's code behind file. That is, I would like to set some of the properties of that control at runtime (say, in Page_Load)

Hi all, I have experienced several problems after installing SP1 for Visual Studio 2005 Professional. The problems are occurring on 2 different Windows XP SP2 development machines that have been serviced packed. I am working on an ASP.NET 2.0 Web Application in Visual Basic. 1. Publicly declared user controls on the Master page are no longer being recognized by Intellisense. Webforms that were created before SP1 are still working fine...

Hello, Last week I downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Suite edition from MSDN Subscriptions, and I could create working WPF Applications. Today, I am fooling around with WPF again "boring night :p" and I wanted to try out Microsoft Expression Blend. I said open Project, selected the WPF Project which I created in VS2008 and I get the following error: "File format version is not recognized. MSBuild can only read solution...

I'm running XP Pro/SP2 + patches and updates, with Visual Studio Professional 2008 (and no prior installation of Visual Studio ever installed). When attempting to open an ASP.NET Web application project, Visual Studio shuts down immediately and with no error message. I can open Visual Studio - but when subsequently attempting to open the project, Visual Studio immediately shuts down. More specifically:

So, what is the relationship between Visual Studio and Visual Web Developer. I find a lot of documentation on MSDN that presents Visual Web Developer as it's own stand-alone product (which I'd expect of the Express editions), but apparently there are NON Express versions of Visual Web Developer. Is Visual Web Developer only built-in to Visual Studio 2008 Professional? I see "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008" listed as an installed...

Does Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 work well together on a Vista computer? I am having some issues with Ajax development. Neither VS2005 nor VS 2008 work well since I installed Visual Studio 2008 professional. -- Arne Garvander (I program VB.Net for fun and C# to get paid.)

I'm not sure if this is an IIS 5.1 issue or ASP.NET issue, or Visual Studio 2008 issue -- thus posting to 3 groups. Please don't be offended. The problem I'm encountering is that Visual Studio closes unexpectedly and without any error message being displayed, or error messages written to the system logs. Visual Studio closes when I attempt to open an ASP.NET Web application (not Web site) solution for which IIS is set as the project's...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
